SINOPSETony Canetti é um detetive policial conservador, divorciado, trabalhando em Hoboken, Nova Jersey, que divide a custódia de seu filho, Mickey, com sua ex-mulher.
Entre o trabalho e a criação do filho, Tony também inicia um romance com uma repórter policial idealista e ultraliberal, Melanie Clifford.
